WHAT TO EXPECT
Being a developer in this team means being up for a challenge. You will be part of a young and growing team where you experience, skills and ideas are a key part of success. Some of the role responsibilities include writing clear code, with a focus on quality, performance, reliability, readability and scalability, reviewing colleagues code and helping improve the development culture.
Aside of the typical role responsibilities, you will be able to spend time on what you believe that will help to make a difference. It is a flat structured organization in Agile cross-disciplined teams. The team varies from content writers, UX/UI designers, front/backend developers, product owners, scrummasters to data analysts. Therefore it’s very important that you enjoy collaborating with others.
You will also be part of a frontend guild, where improvements on product technicalities are being discussed, technical knowledge is shared and ensured everyone is aligned and happy.
You are aware of the latest frontend features, CSS3+, ES6+, Web components. You have some knowledge on code building processes and tools such as Grunt, Gulp and Webpack. You’re somewhat experienced on writing unit tests. You own what you develop and always try to find the best solution available. You can tell which UX enhancements provide most value for a user. You are always searching for the opportunity to teach or learn something new. You know how to solve a problem using different approaches, architectures or tools.
The team currently uses vanilla JS/jQuery and React (with Redux), preferring React. All the styles are written using SASS and following a BEM approach. The code is built with a mix of Grunt and Webpack and the sites with AEM (CMS).
